The 7XV124.50-62 is a compact output module in the 7XV Remote Valve Terminals series from B&R Automation. Intended for distributed control cabinets, the unit serves as a digital actuator interface, switching pneumatic or hydraulic valves on command from a higher-level PLC over the X2X Link fieldbus. By moving output circuitry close to the process, it reduces wiring length and supports straightforward expansion in industrial automation cells.
Its enclosure carries a protection rating of IP67, meaning the electronics remain sealed against dust ingress and temporary immersion, so cabinet-free mounting on machines is permitted. The module provides 24 digital outputs implemented as high-side drivers, and each channel can source up to 0.1 A while being protected against short circuit, overload, and overtemperature events. Command signals arrive through the X2X Link slave interface on an M12 connector, while a separate M8 plug delivers the 24 V supply. The outputs follow the supply level, which may vary between 24 VDC ±25%, allowing operation on battery-buffered or lightly regulated power networks.
