The 5APC Industrial PC Units series is a family of compact B&R Automation PC system units designed for industrial control and visualization tasks in machine-level applications.
Within the series, available configurations use Intel Atom processors in single-core, dual-core, and quad-core versions with DDR3 SDRAM capacities up to 8 GB, providing different performance levels within the same hardware platform. The units use passive cooling through the housing and include a CFast storage interface, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, and support for UEFI BIOS-based system operation. Expansion capability is built around selectable interface and monitor or panel options, with available combinations including CAN, RS232, RS422/RS485, POWERLINK, X2X Link, and SDL or SDL3 display connectivity. The 5APC Industrial PC Units series is intended for 24 VDC industrial installations that require compact dimensions, solid communication support, and reliable operation across a wide ambient temperature range.
