The 4PW Compact HMI Panels series consists of space-saving operator panels built in a plastic housing for control cabinet installation, with versions available for either CAN or X2X communication.
Each panel uses a 160 x 80 monochrome LCD with LED backlighting and a 26-key membrane keypad, including 10 LED-equipped keys and 10 positions that can be relabeled with slide-in legends. The series is powered from 24 VDC, draws up to 6 W, and is designed with IP65 protection on the front for use in industrial machine environments. Depending on the model, communication is handled through either an electrically isolated 9-pin DSUB CAN interface or an electrically isolated 8-pin X2X connection, with address settings made by onboard switches. Overall, the 4PW Compact HMI Panels series is intended to provide compact local operator control, display, and status interaction for B&R automation systems while keeping installation dimensions and panel depth relatively small.
