The 4PW035.E300-01 is an operator terminal from B & R Automation that belongs to the 4PW Compact HMI Panels series. It is intended for machine-level control stations where basic visualization and keypad entry are required in industrial automation cells. By combining a monochrome LCD, tactile keys, and an integrated CAN interface, the device provides a localized human-machine interface that links directly to PLC networks for parameter entry and status readout.

This panel employs a monochrome LCD with a European/Cyrillic character generator and reaches a display resolution of 160 x 80 pixels, giving legible text and symbol graphics for compact process displays. The panel includes 26 membrane keys for primary navigation and data entry. Of those keys, 10 include LED backlighting, so active selections can be identified quickly during operation. The front side has IP65 (front) protection, allowing installation on enclosures exposed to dust and splash without additional front sealing. With a maximum power draw of 6 W, the unit places minimal load on cabinet power supplies and generates limited internal heat. The LED backlight improves luminance stability over cold-cathode designs, and the overall front height is 120 mm, permitting placement in tight panel layouts.

The communication port uses a 9-pin male DSUB connector and is galvanically isolated, enabling noise-tolerant CAN links up to 1000 m at a maximum transfer rate of 500 kbit/s. Physical depth is restricted to 46.1 mm, while the bezel width measures 153 mm, so the display projects only a shallow profile into the cabinet and conserves door space. The isolated interface helps reduce the effect of electrical noise on the network, and the shallow housing supports installation where internal clearance is limited.
