The M Parallel I/O Modules are Beckhoff II/O system components designed for distributed machine-level signal handling over a fiber-optic ring.
The series provides 24 V digital input and output capability, with configurable ports that can be assigned for input or output operation depending on the application. Certain versions in the series also add analog output functionality, allowing transmission of 12-bit signals in a ±10 V range for devices that require analog control. The modules include channel-level LED indication along with dedicated status LEDs for cycle activity, communication errors, and watchdog monitoring to support diagnostics during operation. They are powered by 24 VDC, support 2.5 MBaud data transmission, and are built for machine mounting or installation on cartridge carriers that conform to DIN EN 50022 or 50035.
