Product Description:
The T850T-012 is a DC servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki within the T SANMOTION Servo Motors series. It supplies controlled rotary power for compact industrial axes where precise speed feedback is required. The motor integrates a tachometer generator so a drive can monitor real-time velocity without external sensors. A keyed shaft provides positive mechanical engagement, making the device suitable for machines that require reliable torque transmission in confined spaces.
Electrical termination is provided by supply conductors that extend 1000 mm from the housing, allowing them to be routed to a nearby amplifier without extra connectors. The motor develops its rated output at a terminal voltage of 80 V, delivering 0.5 kW of mechanical power when the shaft rotates at 2500 rpm. Under a steady load, the armature can maintain a continuous stall torque of 2.16 N·m, which is the maximum static load the frame can support without overheating. A flange diameter of 87.5 mm provides the mounting interface for direct attachment to IEC-style gearheads. Because no oil seal is fitted, the shaft region should not be exposed to process liquids. The absence of a seal also reduces frictional drag on the bearings. The internal tachometer loop is connected through the conductors extending from the housing.
During rapid indexing, the motor can reach a peak stall torque of 16.7 N·m, giving the drive system additional capacity for acceleration or brief overload events. The enclosure has a protection rating of IP43, so it prevents objects larger than 1 mm from entering and withstands water sprayed at angles up to 60 degrees from vertical. The motor has a total mass of 4.45 kg, while its rotor inertia is 6.0 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m². These values support accurate adjustment of proportional and derivative gains in the motion controller. The tachometer rotor adds only 0.12 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², keeping velocity feedback responsive without contributing significant rotational load.
