Product Description:
Sanyo Denki produces the T730BG7-012EL0 servo motor as part of the T SANMOTION Servo Motors series. This permanent-magnet AC unit converts electrical power from a matched drive into controlled rotary motion for machine tools, pick-and-place axes, and packaging actuators. Integrated feedback allows the drive to monitor shaft position and correct motion errors during operation. The motor is suitable for automated equipment that requires controlled speed, accurate positioning, and repeatable movement under changing loads.
The motor delivers a rated mechanical output of 300 W at a nominal shaft speed of 2500 rpm. At this operating point, it produces 1.18 N·m of continuous torque while drawing 5.2 A from a drive that supplies an armature voltage of 75 V. The copper windings have an armature resistance of 1.1 Ω, which affects resistive losses and current-loop tuning. These electrical values establish the motor’s thermal load during continuous operation. The continuous stall torque is 1.43 N·m when airflow is restricted. The 76 mm outer diameter accommodates compact gearboxes, and an available 1:15 gear ratio provides torque multiplication without requiring the motor to exceed its rated speed.
Beyond nominal operating conditions, the rotor can deliver an instantaneous torque of 9.8 N·m to handle acceleration peaks before the current limit intervenes. Position is verified by a line-driver encoder that generates 2000 P/R quadrature pulses, enabling precise interpolation in the drive controller. The quadrature channels also allow the controller to determine rotational direction while tracking incremental shaft movement. A compact holding brake rated for 90 V DC supplies 1.47 N·m of static torque, securing suspended loads while the machine is in standby. Dynamic response is aided by a low rotor inertia of 0.270 × 10⁻³ kg·m², allowing rapid speed changes without producing large regenerative currents. The low inertia also reduces the torque required to accelerate and decelerate the unloaded rotor during short positioning cycles.
