T406-221E17 is a DC servo motor. It is designed and produced by Sanyo Denki. The motor product line is Sanmotion T. It must be used with a compatible servo drive. The motor has a rated power output of 60 Watts. It is designed for 24 Volts DC input. The rated output current is 4.3 Amps and the speed rating is 3000 RPM. A black colored coating is applied to the motor surface and this coating provides protection for the metallic housing for contaminants in the operating environment. Protection class of the motor is IP43. This means the motor is protected against solid objects larger than 1 mm (e.g., wires, screws). It is not completely dust-tight, but enough to prevent most dust from interfering with operation. In addition, the motor is protected against water spray at an angle up to 60 degrees from the vertical.
