Product Description:
The 103H5332-0342 is a hybrid stepping motor produced by Sanyo Denki within the StepSyn Stepping Motors series. Intended for indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, and other positioning duties, the model converts discrete drive pulses into accurate shaft rotation without requiring encoder feedback. Its electromagnetic design allows open-loop control while providing consistent torque for automated assembly stations and laboratory instruments. The compact square frame allows the motor to be mounted in machinery with limited installation space.
The basic step angle of 1.2° means each input pulse advances the rotor by the nominal increment, enabling precise positioning when the motor is used with a compatible drive. A stator with three-phase operation delivers smooth torque and helps minimize resonant vibration. The windings have a rated current of 3 A per phase, so the drive should be configured to provide the appropriate phase current. Mechanical coupling is simplified by the 42 mm square flange, which fits the mounting arrangement used for this motor size. Positional repeatability is supported by a maximum standing angle error of ±0.06°, helping maintain accurate indexing during repeated motion sequences.
The specified direction of rotation is counterclockwise, based on the motor’s designated wiring and viewing orientation. Electrical isolation is supported by a minimum insulation resistance of 100 MΩ, which limits leakage current between the windings and motor structure. During continuous operation, the coil temperature rise remains within a maximum of 80 K under the applicable operating conditions. The motor can be attached to an aluminum mounting plate or used with suitable airflow to assist heat dissipation. During dielectric strength testing, the windings can withstand 500 VAC for one minute, demonstrating electrical separation between the conductors and laminated core. Proper grounding, drive configuration, and thermal management should be maintained when the motor is installed in industrial equipment.
