Product Description:
The Sanyo Denki 103-814-6510 is a highly reliable stepping motor that features winding type B. Stepper motors, commonly referred to as step motors or stepping motors, are brushless DC electric motors that rotate in discrete and small angular increments. These stepper motors don't require a position sensor to provide feedback, and they can be adjusted to any step position easily. The step position of the motor can be quickly raised or lowered to achieve continuous rotation, and this motor can be programmed to actively maintain its position at a single step.
This stepper motor features an input voltage of 12-300 V and an input current of 4.6 A. The motor has a high stall torque of 2.1 Nm to stop the motor rotation quickly with high torque in the opposite direction of the rotation. This stepper motor is made up of several "toothed" electromagnets that form a stator around its central rotor, which is designed like a gear. A microcontroller or a driving circuit (external) powers the electromagnets. The motor is designed specifically for indoor use as it features an IP43 protection rating.
The digit 4 in the ingress rating shows that the motor enclosure is highly protected from solid objects and does not allow the entry of any solid object larger than 1 mm in size. The digit 3 shows the short-term water resistance of the enclosure. It can withstand water sprays which fall on the motor at an angle of 60 degrees and light rain. This motor is not recommended for immersion or heavy exposure to water. In short, this stepping motor provides reliable operation in an indoor environment.
