Product Description:
The 103-807-6341 is one of the earliest and most efficient stepper motor designs from Sanyo Denki. It is a unipolar product that has a simple structure and comes with wires housed in a vinyl tube to provide good insulation performance and low dielectric loss. Designed in 1998, the motor comes in a housing enclosure that provides reliable protection according to IP43. This compact housing is able to prevent the penetration of small tools and wires larger than 1 millimeters in diameter; it can also withstand water spray that is directed at it at an angle that is less than 60 degrees from vertical. The housing unit of this stepping motor is also able to maintain its quality for long periods without rust, deterioration or weathering due to the chemical resistance of the black coating covering its housing unit. To make identification easy for operators, a nameplate containing information about the product is attached to the housing.
The 103-807-6341 motor is a unipolar device with an input current requirement of 1.9 amperes and a phase resistance of approximately 2.85 ohms. Also, the phase inductance level of this motor design is determined to be about 8.2 millihenries. The basic step angle for this motor design is about 1.8 degrees; theoretically, it should be able to accelerate at a rate of 30000 radians per second square.
During operation, the 103-807-6341 is able to produce a back electromotive force of about 53 volts per 1000 revolutions per minute. The back EMF represents the amount of voltage induced in the windings of the motor due to its rotation. The motor comes with an earth terminal that can be used to ground it and prevent electrical damage by leakage current.
