A square housing with a concentric pilot simplifies alignment with standard mounting plates, so the motor can be installed in machinery that requires precise, repetitive motion.
The rotor moves one mechanical step of 1.8° per full-step command, providing fine angular resolution without feedback devices. When both windings are driven in a bipolar configuration, the shaft can resist an external load with a holding torque of 170 N·cm.
