The SANDIC Digital Controllers series is a Sanyo Denki controller line developed for positioning and driving servo motors in industrial machinery.
The series began with a single-axis controller introduced in 1981 and expanded to include both single-axis and multiple-axis configurations. SANDIC controllers were built as stand-alone control units and were positioned for use across a broad range of general industrial machinery applications. Later generations in the series emphasized improvements in design, operating performance, available functions, and ease of use. Within Sanyo Denki’s servo systems history, the SANDIC line represents an early stage in the company’s development of digital motion-control platforms before later networking and motion-control products expanded the lineup.
