The R2AAB8100FXPBLM servo motor is manufactured by Sanyo Denki within the SanMOTION R Series. This model targets industrial automation tasks that demand accurate torque delivery and quick settling, such as indexing tables, pick-and-place robots, and gantry axes. When paired with a matched drive, the unit converts electrical energy into tightly regulated mechanical rotation, allowing machine controllers to sequence moves, maintain position under varying loads, and coordinate multiple axes across a production line.
With a rated output of 1 kW, the motor supplies sufficient continuous power for medium-duty stations while remaining compact. Its three-phase stator is wound for a nominal voltage of 200 V, enabling direct connection to 200 V-class servo amplifiers. When commanded to full velocity, the rotor reaches 6000 rpm, supporting fast indexing without overspeeding the magnetic circuit. The square frame carries a mounting flange of 86 mm, so it supports installation with compatible machine interfaces of the same face size and allows the housing to sit securely against the mounting surface. Position feedback is provided by a battery-backed absolute encoder, which preserves multi-turn data through power loss and lets the controller resume operation without a homing cycle.

Because the motor is supplied without a holding brake, vertical axes must use an external clamp to secure the load whenever motor torque is unavailable.
