Product Description:
The R2AA08040FCH00 servo motor is manufactured by Sanyo Denki within the R SANMOTION Servo Motors series. Intended for automated pick-and-place stations, indexing tables, and assembly equipment, the unit converts controlled electrical power from a compatible 200 V servo drive into precise shaft motion. Its middle-inertia rotor balances responsive acceleration with stable operation under changing loads. The motor is suitable for positioning axes that require repeatable speed, torque, and position control during successive machine cycles.
The motor is rated for a mechanical output of 400 W. At rated operation, the shaft supplies 1.27 N·m of continuous torque while drawing approximately 2.6 Arms from the drive. The winding has a phase resistance of 0.93 Ω and a torque constant of 0.559 N·m/Arms, allowing the servo drive to regulate output torque according to commanded current. The motor can operate at speeds up to 6000 rpm, while its continuous stall torque of 1.37 N·m supports stationary loads within the applicable thermal limits. Its 80 mm square flange provides a compact mounting surface for compatible gearheads, pulleys, and machine plates. The 200 V rating supports operation with corresponding servo amplifiers used in industrial motion systems. A voltage constant of 19.5 mV/rpm indicates the back electromotive force generated in relation to shaft speed.
The integrated holding brake operates at 24 VDC and supplies 2.55 N·m of static friction torque to secure vertical or unbalanced loads when motor power is removed. During short acceleration periods, the motor can produce a peak torque of 4.4 N·m, providing additional torque for rapid indexing and load changes. Position feedback comes from an absolute encoder with a resolution of 131,072 positions per revolution, allowing fine position measurement without requiring a homing cycle after normal power restoration. The enclosure has an IP67 protection rating, making it dust-tight and resistant to water ingress during temporary immersion under the applicable test conditions. This sealing also helps protect the stator and internal feedback components from coolant spray and airborne contaminants. Proper cable connections and compatible mating hardware are required to maintain the stated enclosure protection during operation.
