Product Description:
Sanyo Denki manufactures the R2AA06020FXW80M for the R SANMOTION Servo Motors series. This medium-inertia AC servo motor is intended for axes that require stable and responsive positioning in automated packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and semiconductor equipment. Its 60 mm square flange allows direct mounting to compatible gearheads or machine frames without additional adapters. The motor receives controlled current from a matching SANMOTION R amplifier and converts that input into repeatable shaft motion. The medium-inertia rotor balances acceleration response with resistance to abrupt load changes, making the motor suitable for compact machinery with frequent positioning cycles.
The motor provides a rated mechanical output of 200 W. It delivers 0.637 N·m of rated torque at a nominal shaft speed of 3000 rpm. At this operating point, the motor draws 1.5 A RMS from the drive. Its phase resistance is 2.7 Ω, which affects copper losses and winding temperature during continuous operation. The windings are designed for a 200 V supply, allowing the motor to operate with compatible 200 V class servo amplifiers. The motor carries CE and UL approvals for use in applicable industrial installations.
During brief acceleration and deceleration demands, the shaft can produce a peak torque of 2.2 N·m and reach a maximum speed of 6000 rpm. The torque constant is 0.476 N·m/A RMS, providing the drive with a reference for regulating current in response to commanded torque. The absolute encoder provides a single-turn resolution of 131,072 counts (17-bit) and a multi-turn range of 65,536 revolutions without requiring a backup battery. Position data is transmitted to the drive through an RS-485-based connection operating at 2.5 Mbps. The voltage constant is 16.6 mV/rpm and supports back-electromotive-force calculations during speed control. The motor does not include a holding brake, so an external mechanical restraint is required when the shaft must remain fixed after power is removed.
