Product Description:
The Q2AA13150HBS0J servo motor is produced by Sanyo Denki for the Q SANMOTION Servo Motors series. Intended for precision positioning and velocity control in automated packaging lines, pick-and-place robots, and similar equipment, it converts three-phase electrical power into regulated mechanical output. Its square mounting face matches common planetary gearheads, allowing machine builders to attach the unit without custom flanges. The motor can support repetitive motion profiles in machinery that requires controlled acceleration, deceleration, and stopping. Its housing format also provides a stable interface for rigid installation in compact automation equipment.
The motor’s mounting interface is a 130 mm flange that provides the rigidity needed for consistent shaft alignment. Continuous mechanical power is rated at 1.5 kW, allowing it to drive mid-range loads such as index tables or small conveyors. Under commanded acceleration, the rotor can reach a maximum speed range of 3000 to 3500 rpm, supporting rapid cycle times without sacrificing servo bandwidth. Power electronics must supply the windings with a nominal voltage of 200 V because the stator is wound for that line level. Dynamic behavior is influenced by a medium-inertia rotor, which balances fast response with reduced overshoot when paired with belts or couplings that have comparable mass moments. Operating humidity may rise to 90 percent, so the conformal-coated internal components resist moisture and help maintain insulation integrity. Proper alignment at the mounting surface reduces unwanted radial loading on the shaft and connected transmission components.
A factory-mounted 90 V brake holds the shaft when brake power is removed, enabling vertical axes to remain in position during emergency stops or power loss. Rotor angle feedback is generated by a reduced-wiring incremental encoder, which sends position information to the compatible servo drive for closed-loop motion control. Three selectable feedback codes, PP031, PP038, and PP062, allow the encoder configuration to be matched to the drive and application requirements. The permitted ambient operating temperature is 0 to 40 °C, allowing the motor to operate at its rated load within this temperature range without additional heat sinks or forced-air cooling. Limited encoder wiring can simplify cable routing through machine frames and reduce the number of conductors required between the motor and drive. The holding brake is intended for stationary load retention rather than repeated dynamic stopping during normal operation.
