Product Description:
The Q2AA08100DXS0R servo motor is produced by Sanyo Denki within the Q SANMOTION Servo Motors series. As an AC actuator, it converts regulated power from its matching drive into precise torque and speed for positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, and other coordinated machine axes in industrial automation. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so vertical axes must rely on external clamps or motor torque to maintain position when power is removed.
The motor mounts to gearboxes or machine frames using an 86 mm square flange that matches common IEC mounting patterns, so installation does not require an adapter plate. Its continuous shaft output rating of 1 kW sets the thermal design point for the associated amplifier and mechanical system. A stator winding designed for the 200 V class receives power through the matching SANMOTION Q drive, which connects to the factory supply. During rapid indexing or traverse moves, the rotor can reach speeds from 4500 to 5000 rpm, supporting short settling times when the load inertia is properly tuned to the servo loop. The medium-inertia rotor supports responsive acceleration while helping keep torsional resonance within manageable control bandwidths.
Position information is delivered by a reduced-wiring incremental encoder, which lowers the required conductor count while supporting high-resolution edge evaluation in the drive. Three encoder variants, PP031, PP038, and PP062, are available to accommodate different accuracy and speed requirements. The motor can operate at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C, and remaining within this range helps prevent excessive thermal stress on the windings and magnets. It also tolerates up to 90% relative humidity without condensation, allowing operation in controlled enclosures where moisture remains below the condensation threshold.
