Product Description:
The Q2AA07040DXS1S is a Sanyo Denki servo motor supplied as part of the Q SANMOTION Servo Motors series. It is used in industrial automation to deliver controlled rotation for pick-and-place arms, packaging formers, and small transfer stations, allowing the drive controller to manage torque and speed without mechanical gear changes. The motor follows the Q Series mechanical layout, allowing machine builders to mount it in standardized frames and connect it to compatible servo amplifiers already installed on the production line.
This model is built for a nominal bus voltage of 200 V, so its stator windings accept the power supplied by mid-range servo drives. At that voltage, the shaft can deliver 400 W of continuous mechanical output, a level suitable for moderate-load axes that cycle rapidly. The rotor can reach speeds between 4500 and 5000 rpm, providing ample headroom for the acceleration profiles used by indexing feeders. A medium-inertia rotor reduces overshoot while responding quickly to command changes, balancing stability with dynamic response. Mounting is provided by a square flange measuring 76 mm, which aligns with compact gearheads and couplings commonly found in semiconductor handlers and labeling equipment.
The motor operates at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C and remains functional at up to 90% relative humidity, provided condensation is avoided. Rotor position is reported by the PP031/PP038/PP062 encoder family, which uses a reduced-wiring incremental encoder interface to simplify cable routing and reduce the connector count inside moving cable tracks. Because the unit is supplied without a holding brake, an external clamp or drive-applied torque must maintain the shaft position when power is removed. This arrangement is appropriate for horizontal or low-load axes that do not require mechanical locking during normal operation.
