Product Description:
The Q2AA05020DXS2C is an AC servo motor from Sanyo Denki in the Q SANMOTION Servo Motors series. It serves as a rotary actuator in positioning stages and compact conveyor axes, converting drive commands into controlled torque and speed for mid-range automation tasks. The motor works with compatible drives and controllers to provide closed-loop motion, while feedback from its incremental encoder helps the control system correct position errors during operation. This arrangement supports applications that require accurate starts, stops, and repeated movements within a compact machine layout.
The front face follows a 54 mm mounting pattern, allowing the motor to fit machinery designed for this frame size. Its rotor-stator assembly has medium inertia, providing a balance between responsive acceleration and resistance to load disturbances. Continuous shaft power reaches 200 W when the motor is powered by a 200 V amplifier, making it suitable for pick-and-place arms, small indexing tables, and similar mechanisms. The shaft can operate at speeds up to 5000 rpm in velocity mode, allowing shorter operating cycles without requiring changes to the mechanical gearing. The model is supplied without a holding brake, so gravity-loaded axes require an external locking device or a drive-based servo lock when stationary.
The permitted ambient temperature range is 0 to 40 °C, supporting stable operation under typical indoor industrial conditions. The motor can operate in non-condensing environments with relative humidity up to 90%, provided moisture does not accumulate on the winding insulation or encoder circuits. Position feedback is generated by a reduced-wiring incremental encoder, whose compact cable arrangement simplifies routing through crowded machine assemblies. Three selectable feedback sets, PP031/PP038/PP062, allow the connected drive to use the option appropriate for the required motion-control resolution. Adequate ventilation must be maintained around the motor frame, and the supply wiring must remain within the manufacturer’s recommended impedance limits to support the stated operating performance.
