Product Description:
Sanyo Denki manufactures the Q2AA05020DCS68, a servo motor in the Q SANMOTION Servo Motors series. This Q Series unit is a medium-frame component intended to drive positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, and other automation axes where closed-loop speed and torque control are required. The motor converts 200 V AC from a matched amplifier into rotational motion, allowing integration into multi-axis systems that demand fast response and repeatable accuracy.
The mechanical interface uses a 54 mm square flange, so the stator can bolt directly to compact gearboxes and indexers without adapters. A rated output of 200 W indicates the continuous mechanical power the shaft can deliver while staying within thermal limits. The stator windings are designed for a 200 V motor supply, reducing current requirements and allowing smaller cables for cabinet wiring. Under the command of the drive, the rotor reaches a speed between 4500 and 5000 rpm, providing sufficient overhead for rapid traverse moves. A factory-mounted 24 V brake clamps the shaft when power is removed to hold vertical loads in place. The rotor-to-stator inertia ratio is tuned for gantry and transfer equipment, giving the motor a medium-inertia design that balances quick acceleration with stable following error.
Continuous service is allowed at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C and at up to 90% relative humidity. These operating conditions apply to non-condensing factory environments where the motor does not require additional climate control. Position feedback is generated by a reduced-wiring incremental encoder, which minimizes the connector count while delivering high-resolution pulses to the drive. Compatible sensor codes include PP031, PP038, and PP062, providing several feedback configurations for the motor. The encoder supplies the position information needed by the matched amplifier to regulate speed, torque, and motion accurately during repeated operating cycles.
