Product Description:
The Q2AA05020DCS2C servo motor is produced by Sanyo Denki as part of the Q SANMOTION Servo Motors series. This Q Series unit is intended for closed-loop motion axes that require moderate power and precise speed control. By pairing the rotor’s permanent-magnet field with an incremental encoder, the motor converts electrical energy into finely regulated torque for conveyors, electronic assembly heads, and light packaging equipment. Its closed-loop design allows the connected servo amplifier to correct speed and position as operating loads change.
The motor delivers a rated mechanical output of 200 W, making it suitable for applications that need repeatable acceleration without excessive oversizing. Its three-phase stator is designed for a 200 V supply, so it connects to compatible servo amplifiers used on 200-volt systems. The shaft can reach a peak speed of 4500 to 5000 rpm, supporting short operating cycles while keeping the bearing speed within its intended limits. Mounting follows the applicable JIS square-frame standard, with a compact 54 mm flange that fits small machine plates. The medium-inertia rotor helps smooth speed ripple while retaining the responsiveness needed for indexing operations. This rotor configuration also supports stable movement when the connected load has moderate inertia.
A factory-installed 24 V brake holds the shaft when power is removed, preventing vertical loads from dropping or drifting. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C. The allowable relative humidity is up to 90% without condensation, making the motor suitable for indoor industrial equipment. Position and speed feedback are provided by a reduced-wiring incremental encoder, which minimizes harness bulk while maintaining compatibility with PP031, PP038, and PP062 sensor models. The reduced wiring arrangement requires fewer feedback conductors, helping simplify cable routing through compact machine assemblies. The holding brake secures stationary loads independently of the encoder feedback when motor power is unavailable.
