The PBM603DCR50 is a compact AC servo motor produced by Sanyo Denki within the PB SANMOTION Servo Motors series. In automated machinery, the motor converts drive current from a matching amplifier into controlled rotational motion. This operation enables precise positioning, speed regulation, and quick acceleration of mechanical axes such as pick-and-place heads or miniature conveyors in assembly equipment.
When mounted on a machine frame, the motor can tolerate a radial force of 120 N, helping the bearings withstand belt or gear loading. At stall, the electromagnetic system delivers a maximum torque of 1.05 N·m, allowing short-term holding against static loads without overheating. The housing is rated IP40, providing protection against certain solid objects but no protection against water. Position feedback is provided by a batteryless absolute encoder with a 17-bit resolution of 131,072 P/R, enabling fine interpolation by the drive. The sensor and power conductors exit the rear through a lead wire with a connector, and the overall depth is 126.9 mm, allowing the motor to fit shallow gantry brackets.
