Product Description:

The PBM423DXC62 is a state-of-the-art closed-loop stepping motor built by Sanyo Denki. The motor is built with motion technology that has been improved and optimized to meet modern industrial demands while maintaining an impressive cost and electrical efficiency. The design of this stepper motor combines the benefits of conventional servo motors and stepping systems. Compared to servo motor designs, the closed-loop motor is easier to use and operate, and it is also more reliable than conventional stepping motor designs. This motor design also has the unique characteristic of generating little to no vibration when it is stopped; also, importantly, when combined with the appropriate controller series, the short-stroke positioning of the motor is significantly reduced.

The design of the PBM423DXC62 closed loop stepper motor includes a precise encoder that consistently confirms rotor positions so that drive controllers can quickly detect any errors and correct them. The insulation class of this product is class B; it is also able to withstand an input voltage of 500 volts for a duration of 1 minute. Compared to conventional motor designs, the enclosure of this industrial motor provides protection according to IP40 classification. To ensure reliable operation, this converter should be shielded from dust, water, and any other probable environmental contamination. Vibrations should also be kept below 0.5 g and a frequency range that is less than 10 hertz.

The PBM423DXC62 motor is able to produce a maximum stall torque of approximately 0.39-newton meters during operation; its rotor inertia is also measured to be about 0.056 x 10-4 kilograms per meter square. The allowable thrust load for the motor is about 9.8 newtons, while the allowable radial load is 48 newtons. The motor also has a total weight of 0.35 kilograms.
