Product Description:
The PBM423DXC62 is a DC-powered servo motor produced by Sanyo Denki for the PB SANMOTION Servo Motors series. In compact automation stages, pick-and-place heads, and miniature conveyors, the motor provides closed-loop rotary motion that a compatible drive regulates by monitoring the embedded position sensor. Its housing follows a 42 mm square IEC frame pattern, allowing it to fit compact machine layouts while providing the responsive torque needed for frequent starts, stops, and direction changes. The small frame also supports installation on moving assemblies where available mounting space is limited.
A C-phase output allows the controller to identify the electrical zero position during startup. The motor can withstand an applied voltage of AC 500 V for one minute between the windings and housing, while its insulation resistance is at least 100 MΩ. The flange measures 42 mm, providing a compact mounting interface for a gearhead or machine bracket. The motor produces a stall torque of 0.39 N·m, indicating the available torque when the shaft is stationary. Encoder feedback has a resolution of 200 P/R, which provides 800 quadrature counts per revolution to the motion controller. Continuous operation is permitted while the case surface remains below 85 °C. The enclosure has an IP40 protection rating, which guards against solid objects larger than 1 mm but does not protect the motor from water.
The rotor has a moment of inertia of 0.056 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², supporting rapid acceleration and deceleration in short-cycle motion applications. The complete motor weighs 0.35 kg, reducing the load added to moving carriages and compact positioning mechanisms. Its rated shock resistance is 30 G, helping the assembly tolerate impacts that may occur during handling or machine operation. The bearings accept a radial load of 49 N when the load is applied at a 14 mm shaft overhang. They also support a thrust load of up to 9.8 N along the shaft axis. The motor body is 57.6 mm long, allowing installation in shallow compartments where axial clearance is restricted.
