Product Description:
The PBM282DXC20 belongs to the PB SANMOTION Servo Motors series produced by Sanyo Denki. It is a DC-powered motor intended for compact industrial axes where precise speed and position control are required. By combining a miniature 28 mm frame with integrated feedback, the unit serves pick-and-place heads, small actuators, and laboratory devices that cannot accommodate larger rotary drives.
At stall, the rotor supplies up to 0.055 N·m of torque, a level suitable for direct coupling to light mechanical loads without additional gearing. An internal encoder delivers a resolution of 200 pulses per revolution, allowing the drive to issue fine motion increments and detect positional errors early. The bearings support a continuous radial force of 33 N and an axial force of 9.8 N, providing suitable limits for pulley or leadscrew arrangements. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP40, protecting the stator from routine dust while allowing airflow for cooling. Rotor inertia is 0.008 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², enabling rapid acceleration when the motor is paired with a suitable DC bus. A built-in C-phase output simplifies commutation, and the motor accepts a single DC supply, so no internal rectifier is needed.
The overall body length is 58.5 mm, the square frame measures 28 mm on each side, and the pilot on the front face has a diameter of 22 mm. A keyed shaft with a diameter of 5 mm transmits torque, and the mounting face has two M2.6 × 0.45 threaded holes for direct attachment to brackets. The assembly weighs 0.16 kg, reducing the load placed on linear slides and vertical stages. Electrical insulation withstands 500 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz for one minute, supporting adequate clearance within the windings. The compact frame and low mass suit installations with limited mounting space. The threaded mounting holes permit attachment without a separate adapter plate.
