Product Description:

The Sanyo Denki PB3D003M200 servo drive is a part of the PB SANMOTION Servo Drivers series. This servo driver is flexible because it features various command resolutions. Its command resolutions include 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 5000, and 10000. The command resolution is important for the fine precision of the motor. It helps to interpret the input signals into small movements or increments to ensure a smoother operation. It improves the motion control or system efficiency by reducing errors and helps in the correct interpretation of every minor change in input signals by modifying the rotation accordingly.

This servo drive has a 0.35 kg mass with dimensions of 32 x 160 x 95 mm. It features an RS-485 interface and uses differential signaling to support multidrop communications lines and local networks. RS-485 is capable of handling data rates of up to 10 Mbit/s[a] and distances of up to 4,000 ft (1200 m). The servo drive has a Dip switch that improves the flexibility of the communication protocol. When the DIP switch is on, the drive starts working using the RS485 interface with parallel I/O, and when the DIP switch is off, the drive uses a pulse train input to support communication with other connected devices. These input modes make this drive highly flexible and easy to operate.

In the pulse train input, each pule represents an increment and step. The number of input pulses controls the position of the drive, while the frequency determines the speed of the drive. The drive also has a control circuit with an input current of 0.5 A for EM brake models and 0.2 A for non-EM brake models.
