Product Description:
The P30B04005DXS42 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki for the P3 Super BL Servo Motors series. It supplies closed-loop rotary motion for positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, and other industrial axes that require compact power under a 200 VAC drive system. The unit combines a reduced-wiring incremental encoder with a resolution of 2,000 pulses per revolution to provide shaft-position feedback, allowing the drive to regulate speed and torque precisely during automated cycles.
The shaft delivers a continuous mechanical output of 50 W and produces 0.157 N·m of rated torque at a nominal speed of 3,000 rpm. These values represent the motor’s continuous operating point when 0.74 Arms of phase current flows. The controller uses the encoder signal to commutate the three brushless phases, which have a phase resistance of 9.1 Ω. The induced voltage constant is 8.2 mV per rpm with a 10% tolerance, while the torque constant is 0.235 N·m per Arms. Dynamic response is characterized by an electrical time constant of 1.2 ms and a mechanical time constant of 1.3 ms. The rotor inertia is 0.031 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m². The square front flange is available in 40 mm or 42 mm formats to accommodate miniature gearboxes and mounting brackets, and the motor is supplied without a holding brake.
Peak capability rises to a speed of 4,500 rpm, allowing the motor to support brief high-speed movements during positioning cycles. The motor can produce a transient stall torque of 0.49 N·m when additional force is required for acceleration or short load disturbances. Its torque-to-current relationship allows the servo controller to scale commanded current accurately and regulate instantaneous output. The IP40 protection rating prevents contact with hazardous internal components and limits the entry of solid objects larger than 1 mm. The enclosure does not provide protection against water, so the motor is intended for installation in clean, dry machine interiors.
