The KA730JS0 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki and supplied under the K SANMOTION Servo Motors series. It provides precise rotary motion for axes that must accelerate quickly, stop accurately, and hold position in CNC tools, pick-and-place heads, and automated inspection stations. An integral incremental encoder with 2000 pulses per revolution delivers position feedback to the drive, allowing the velocity and position loops to operate with high accuracy. The encoder also enables the controller to detect small changes in rotor position during low-speed movement and controlled stops.
The electromagnetic circuit has an armature inductance of 1.7 mH and a winding resistance of 1.05 Ω; these electrical characteristics affect the motor’s time constant and current-loop response. Under continuous duty, the motor operates at a rated armature voltage of 75 V and a rated armature current of 4.8 A, producing a shaft output of 300 W. At this operating point, the rotor delivers a rated torque of 1.15 N·m at a rated speed of 2500 rpm, providing the torque and velocity needed for general-purpose motion tasks. The motor also provides a peak stall torque of 9.8 N·m for short acceleration periods and temporary load disturbances.
