The KA506JS0 is a brushless servo motor produced by Sanyo Denki for the K SANMOTION Servo Motors series. As a compact rotary actuator, it converts controlled electrical input into precise shaft rotation for indexing tables, pick-and-place modules, and other automated motion axes. Compact PWM servo amplifiers can regulate the motor’s current and velocity in real time, allowing it to perform accurate positioning and speed-controlled movements. Its design is suited to industrial automation applications that require responsive motion from a relatively small motor housing.
Its continuous stall torque of 0.24 N·m allows the axis to maintain position under load while the windings remain within their thermal limits. Supplied with an armature voltage of 75 V, the motor produces 0.06 kW of mechanical power at a commanded speed of 3000 rpm, providing a practical balance of speed and torque for light-duty servo mechanisms. The square mounting face measures 54 mm, enabling direct coupling to compact reducers without adapter plates. The motor has an IP43 protection rating, which guards it against solid objects larger than 1 mm and water sprayed at angles of up to 60 degrees from vertical. A factory-attached lead set measuring 1000 mm simplifies routing between the motor and the associated control equipment.
For rapid positioning, the rotor can generate 1.8 N·m of peak stall torque for short intervals, allowing quick acceleration during intermittent motion sequences.
