The KA406TXX is a DC servo motor from Sanyo Denki's K SANMOTION Servo Motors series. It is intended for compact positioning stages and converts electrical energy into controlled rotary motion in automated equipment. Permanent-magnet excitation and an onboard tachogenerator provide speed feedback, allowing precise velocity control without an external encoder.
In continuous operation, the motor delivers a rated output of 60 W at a nominal speed of 3000 min⁻¹, which indicates the power available at the shaft during steady duty. The armature is energized at 70 V and draws 1.2 A, so the drive must supply regulated DC power in the proper voltage class. A torque constant of 0.177 N·m/A links armature current to produced torque. Rated torque is 0.19 N·m, and continuous stall torque is 0.20 N·m under S1 duty.
For short bursts, the motor reaches a peak stall torque of 1.2 N·m, giving extra force for acceleration and brief overloads.
