Product Description:
The GAM2A4010F0CNK0 is a brushless AC servo motor engineered by Sanyo Denki for the G SANMOTION AC Servo Motors series. As a compact rotary actuator, it converts electrical commands into controlled position, velocity, and torque for small-frame axes in pick-and-place heads, electronic assembly tables, and miniature indexers. The unit integrates a single-turn absolute encoder, allowing the controller to recover the shaft position within one mechanical revolution after a power cycle. This feedback can eliminate unnecessary homing movement and reduce machine startup time.
The feedback device provides a resolution of 23 bits, enabling fine interpolation of motion profiles. The motor has an IP67 protection rating, which prevents dust ingress and protects internal components during temporary water immersion. At thermal equilibrium, the stator supplies 0.10 kW of mechanical power at a rated speed of 3,000 rpm, supporting lightweight end effectors without requiring an oversized drive. A phase resistance of 9.0 Ω allows the motor to operate with low-current 200 VAC amplifiers. Its torque constant is 0.367 N·m/Arms, allowing the control system to estimate load from measured phase current. Rotor inertia with the holding brake installed is 0.0670 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², which supports calculations for acceleration during short-stroke motion.
The rotor can reach a maximum speed of 6,500 rpm, providing additional speed for electronic gearing and rapid retract sequences. Continuous torque is rated at 0.318 N·m, while brief peak loads can reach 1.18 N·m without demagnetizing the rotor. A fail-safe holding brake operates at 24 VDC and secures vertical loads when power is removed. The nominal phase current is 0.99 Arms, which limits heat generation in the drive cabinet. Mechanical installation uses a 40 mm square IEC flange, and the circular keyless shaft supports straightforward coupler alignment without key-seat tolerances. The motor does not include an oil seal, which reduces shaft friction. Its 200 VAC supply is compatible with commonly used servo amplifiers in mixed-axis machines.
