Product Description:
The GADSE03AA22 is an AC servo amplifier produced by Sanyo Denki within the G Sanmotion AC Servo Amplifiers series. The unit conditions power and modulation signals for matched Sanmotion servomotors, allowing precise velocity and position control in industrial automation cells, pick-and-place stations, and compact machine tools. By converting control commands into phase-controlled current, the amplifier supplies the motor with the torque requested by the motion controller.
The output stage is rated at 30 A for delivering current during rapid acceleration, while the input section is designed for a 100 VAC single-phase supply so additional transformers are not required on low-voltage lines. Velocity can be adjusted across a 1:5000 control range, providing fine speed resolution for indexing conveyors or spindle positioning. The internal bus capacitors draw a maximum of 2.4 kVA from the supply, which helps with the selection of upstream breakers and cables. Digital general-purpose outputs use a sinking configuration, enabling a direct interface with PLC input cards that reference field ground. This output arrangement provides a clear switching path for status and control signals exchanged with connected automation equipment.
The peak motor feed reaches 16.3 Arms, while continuous delivery is 5.2 Arms, supporting intermittent overload without exceeding thermal limits. A built-in regenerative resistor rated at 60 W with a resistance of 10 Ω dissipates braking energy, eliminating the need for an external module. The amplifier has a shock tolerance of 20 m/s² and a vibration endurance of 6 m/s² for cabinet or machine-frame mounting. Operation is permitted at altitudes up to 2,000 m and at a relative humidity of up to 95% RH, allowing use in humid, non-condensing environments. Safety outputs are provided without a delay circuit in the STO channel, ensuring immediate torque removal when the enable loop opens.
