The GADSE01LA22 is a compact AC servo amplifier produced by Sanyo Denki within the G Sanmotion AC Servo Amplifiers series. Designed for integration with small-frame servo motors, the unit converts a fixed DC bus into a controlled three-phase output that drives position, speed, or torque loops in automated machinery. By regulating motor current with insulated-gate bipolar transistors, the amplifier allows CNC axes, pick-and-place modules, and labeling heads to follow precise motion commands while maintaining high energy efficiency.
The power stage is rated for a maximum phase current of 10 A, while its continuous RMS output is limited to 1.2 A RMS to keep the thermal rise within operating limits. A DC supply of 150 VDC feeds an inverter that uses IGBT-based sinusoidal PWM to minimize motor current ripple. For short acceleration periods, the drive supplies up to 4.3 A RMS, providing additional torque without exceeding semiconductor limits. External dynamic braking is supported through a regenerative resistor port. The general-purpose outputs use sinking logic, simplifying connections to PLC cards with NPN inputs. A safe torque off channel is supplied without a delay circuit, and the amplifier is suitable for Overvoltage Category III installations.
The drive supports servo motors with shaft output up to 200 W while drawing no more than 0.4 kVA from the supply section, which reduces the required panel transformer capacity. Velocity loops remain stable across a control range of 1:5000, providing fine speed resolution at low rotational speeds. The external bleeder resistance must be at least 25 Ω to limit current during regenerative events and protect the DC link. The housing is rated for shocks up to 20 m/s² and vibrations up to 6 m/s², supporting operation on mobile fixtures and floor-mounted machinery where motion and impact may occur.
