The Sanyo Denki GADSA05LA22 servo amplifier is supplied under the G Sanmotion AC Servo Amplifiers series. Acting as the power interface between a motion controller and an AC servomotor, it regulates armature current so that industrial axes can follow commanded position, speed, or torque profiles. By combining current sensing with fast processor logic, the unit supports closed-loop motion for assembly gantries, electronic packaging machines, and general material-handling equipment.
The power stage can accept a bus capacity of 50 A and delivers a continuous phase current of 12.0 A rms, while short bursts of up to 26.5 A rms accommodate acceleration spikes. With a maximum motor rating of 2.5 kW and a drive input requirement of 3.8 kVA, the amplifier supports mid-range servomotors without requiring an oversized cabinet feeder. Current is modulated by an IGBT sinusoidal PWM bridge that maintains low distortion across a velocity range of 1:5000, allowing the same axis to move slowly during alignment or run at production speed. The amplifier supports position, speed, and torque control modes. Its logic section draws only 0.3 A rms from the control circuit, minimizing the load on the auxiliary supply.
The amplifier provides 8 sinking output channels for status and interlock signals, allowing direct connection to compatible PLC input cards.
