The GADSA05AH24 is a servo amplifier produced by Sanyo Denki for the G Sanmotion AC Servo Amplifiers series. It forms the power interface between a three-phase supply and a Sanmotion brushless motor. The amplifier generates regulated phase current so automated axes maintain commanded speed and position in assembly lines, pick-and-place units, and other motion platforms. Its control electronics regulate motor operation in response to commands from the connected motion controller.
The amplifier has a maximum capacity of 50 A, which indicates the highest instantaneous current its power modules can deliver. During normal operation, the drive sustains 12.0 A RMS, while acceleration bursts can draw up to 26.5 A RMS to accommodate temporary load increases. The supported maximum motor output is 2.5 kW. The incoming line must provide 3.8 kVA of apparent power, allowing cabinet breakers and wiring to be sized for the amplifier’s demand. A velocity control range of 1:5000 supports slow indexing and rapid travel with the same motor. The control circuit draws only 0.3 A RMS, which limits heat generated by the internal logic. During deceleration, a regeneration network rated at 90 W with a resistance of 10 Ω dissipates excess energy and helps prevent DC-bus overvoltage.

It is designed for overvoltage category III, so its insulation and clearances can tolerate distribution-level transients common in industrial switchboards. A load inertia ratio of 10:1 allows the connected motor to control sizable table masses while maintaining servo responsiveness after the loop gains are properly adjusted. The unit withstands vibration levels of 6 m/s², supporting installation on machinery that experiences continuous mechanical movement. It also tolerates shocks of up to 20 m/s², which helps protect operation when the surrounding equipment is exposed to occasional impacts.
