Product Description:

The GADSA03AH24 is a servo amplifier manufactured by Sanyo Denki as part of the G Sanmotion AC Servo Amplifiers series. The module converts a fixed DC bus into a pulse-width-modulated, three-phase output that coordinates a matched Sanmotion motor in industrial automation cells. Designed for cabinet mounting next to motion controllers, it supervises current, velocity, and position loops so that pick-and-place heads, conveyors, or compact machining axes can follow programmed profiles with minimal following error.

At the power stage, the amplifier can deliver up to 30 A, while its continuous rating is 5.2 Arms to keep the device temperature within limits. Command changes are reproduced at frequencies up to 3500 Hz when driving loads of 400 W or less, and speed accuracy is preserved across a 1:5000 velocity control range. The amplifier tolerates a load inertia up to ten times the motor’s rotor inertia, and it can drive motors rated up to 1.5 kW without derating. Overvoltage Category III clearances are maintained at the mains terminals. The built-in regeneration network energizes a 10 Ω resistor, and additional external braking elements must have a resistance of at least 10 Ω. An STO input with an internal delay circuit provides functional safety, and the allowable vibration during operation is 6 m/s².

During rapid acceleration, the drive supplies a peak current of 16.3 Arms, drawing energy from a feeder capable of supplying 2.4 kVA of apparent power. Excess kinetic energy is routed to the braking circuit and converted into heat, with the internal resistor limited to 60 W so the resulting ambient temperature rise remains predictable. The amplifier has a shock resistance of 20 m/s², allowing it to be mounted in machinery frames that are subject to transient impacts. The braking circuit manages regenerated energy during deceleration, while the peak-current capability supports short periods of increased torque demand.
