The GADSA03AB22 is a servo amplifier produced by Sanyo Denki as part of the G Sanmotion AC Servo Amplifiers series. This unit conditions three-phase input power and command signals so that a matched servomotor receives the current and voltage profile required for position, speed, or torque control in automated machinery. By converting analog or pulse-train references into controlled phase currents, the amplifier forms the interface between a motion controller and the mechanical axis. This arrangement supports controlled motion in positioning equipment, production machines, and other systems that use closed-loop servo operation.
The power stage has an amplifier capacity of 30 A. During continuous operation, the device limits its output current to 5.2 Arms to protect the power stage and connected motor from thermal overload. A frequency response of 3500 Hz supports tight velocity and position loops because commanded changes are reproduced with minimal phase lag. The amplifier can operate with a motor rated for up to 1.5 kW when the installation provides a power capacity of 2.4 kVA. The control electronics draw 0.3 Arms, and a sourcing general-purpose output supports connections to external status indicators. Analog and pulse inputs permit direct connections to PLCs or high-resolution motion control cards.
Peak torque commands are supported by a momentary output current of 16.3 Arms, providing reserve current for acceleration and disturbance rejection. Excess kinetic energy from deceleration is dissipated through a built-in regenerative resistor rated at 60 W. The resistor has a resistance of 10 Ω, allowing the amplifier to manage routine regenerative energy without a separate braking module. The enclosure has a mass of 1.50 kg, which reduces the load placed on the cabinet mounting surface. The assembly withstands vibration up to 6 m/s² and shocks up to 20 m/s². The safe-torque-off line does not include a delay circuit, allowing the amplifier to remove motor torque immediately when the input is activated.
