Product Description:
The GADSA01LH24 is an AC servo amplifier produced by Sanyo Denki within the G Sanmotion AC Servo Amplifiers series. It conditions command signals from a motion controller and delivers controlled current to a servomotor so the axis follows commanded speed or position profiles in automated machines, conveyors, and packaging stations. By closing the current loop inside the drive, the amplifier provides tight dynamic regulation without requiring external power stages.
The output stage is rated at 10 A, indicating the maximum instantaneous current the amplifier can deliver to the motor windings, while the continuous RMS capacity is limited to 1.2 Arms to prevent thermal overload during steady-state operation. Internal logic and gate drivers are powered from a bus that accepts 300 VDC (±20%); this high-voltage input is typically derived from a shared rectifier that supplies several axes. For brief acceleration or disturbance rejection, the unit can source up to 4.3 Arms, providing the current needed to support rapid torque changes. When coupled with a matching Sanmotion motor, the available mechanical output is limited to 200 W, making the drive suitable for low-to-mid-power actuators used on small pick-and-place heads or indexing tables.
The amplifier has an apparent power rating of 0.4 kVA and accepts either 200 to 240 VAC single-phase power or 200 to 240 VAC three-phase power at 50/60 Hz, accommodating different plant supply arrangements. A velocity control range of 1:5000 supports consistent speed regulation from slow probing movements to full-rated motor speed without switching gain sets. The permitted ambient operating temperature ranges from 0 to 60 °C, while storage is allowed at temperatures as low as -20 °C. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 2,000 m without derating, and the safe torque off circuit introduces a delay of 200 to 700 ms after the STO input is de-energized. The braking resistor terminal requires an external load of at least 25 Ω to dissipate regenerated energy.
