Internal Product Review

The GADSA01AH24 is a Sanyo Denki AC servo amplifier well suited for compact motion-control axes, with 200 to 240 VAC input and 200 W motor output. A 3500 Hz frequency response and 1:5000 velocity range support very crisp servo tuning and stable speed regulation. Strong electrical performance makes the amplifier a very capable choice for precise automation duty.

Product Description:

The GADSA01AH24 is a compact servo amplifier manufactured by Sanyo Denki within the G Sanmotion AC Servo Amplifiers series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power or power from a regulated DC bus into controlled three-phase output for a matched rotary servo motor. By delivering precise torque and velocity commands, the unit acts as the electric drive element in pick-and-place modules, feeders, and other industrial automation axes that require responsive, closed-loop control. Feedback from the motor allows the amplifier to correct motion as operating conditions and mechanical loads change.

The amplifier can operate from either three-phase or single-phase power. It draws 1.2 Arms from a three-phase source or 2.0 Arms from a single-phase source while accepting 200 to 240 VAC. The power stage has an internal current rating of 10 A, delivers a continuous phase current of 1.2 Arms, and withstands surges up to 4.3 Arms during rapid acceleration. A separate 300 VDC bus is supported for systems that use a centralized rectifier. The mains frequency must remain within 50 or 60 Hz ±3 Hz, and the current loop tracks commands up to 3500 Hz to support high-bandwidth control. Regenerative energy is dissipated through an integral 25 Ω resistor rated for 5 W of braking power, removing the need for an external dump module in light-inertia applications.

A velocity range of 1:5000 permits fine low-speed indexing without requiring different gear ratios. The maximum motor output is 200 W, making the amplifier suitable for small conveyors or labeling heads. The housing measures 40 mm wide, 130 mm deep, and 160 mm high, allowing multiple amplifiers to fit in narrow control cabinets. Adequate space around the housing allows power, motor, and control wiring to be routed without obstructing adjacent equipment. The aluminum housing weighs 0.80 kg, reducing the mechanical load on the mounting surface. Its compact form also leaves more cabinet space available for power distribution and other control components.
