This unit needs only a single fiber optic cable ring connection between the drive and the motion controller. It has no signal corruption with a cable that has a maximum length of 100 m. The drive houses an Intel microcontroller and an interactive debugger.

It is used along with the manufacturer’s PMA, R, and S series of brushless servomotors with permanent magnets. The drive’s option card provides RS-232/485 serial communication for its setup.
