The SC933-050-01 servo drive is produced by Pacific Scientific within the SC900 Servo Drives series. It functions as the power and control stage between a motion controller and a brushless servo motor, converting low-level command signals into regulated three-phase output. Typical roles include position or speed loops in automated assembly, packaging, and material-handling equipment, where tight torque regulation is needed for repeatable motion. Rated for 240 V three-phase supplies, the unit supports convection-cooled operation at standard cabinet temperatures.
The drive accepts Analog, Incremental Digital, or Serial Command inputs, so it can interpret velocity, position, or torque references in any of these formats without hardware changes. For supervisory links, it uses RS-232/485 Serial communication, allowing parameter access from HMIs or PLCs over standard multidrop networks. Under natural convection at 25 °C, the power stage can deliver a continuous phase current of 7.5 A, which is suitable for mid-frame servo motors used on compact axes. Motor selection is guided by the inductance window; the drive can stabilize current loops with windings as high as 2 H and as low as 2.0 mH, giving it compatibility with both high-torque and high-speed motor designs. These limits suit indexing tables, feed rollers, and similar machines that cycle frequently while staying within a convection-cooled thermal budget.
