The SC900-001-01 servo drive is a single-axis motion controller from Pacific Scientific’s SC900 Servo Drives series. Designed for brushless three-phase permanent-magnet motors, it regulates phase current and position through resolver feedback to keep automated machinery on target. The unit fits directly on a panel and supports incremental or analog command sources, giving OEM builders a compact choice for coordinated indexing, tensioning, or point-to-point tasks. It operates from direct line power without an isolation transformer, which simplifies cabinet wiring in multi-axis systems.
Command signals can be delivered as analog or incremental digital inputs; the differential analog channel accepts up to ±13.5 V, and its single-ended path tolerates ±21 V. Processing is handled by an all-digital DSP that limits non-linearity to 0.1 % FS, maintaining predictable torque response across the full range. Carrier switching at 20 kHz keeps current ripple low, while a motor current bandwidth of 1.5 kHz enables tight velocity and torque loops. Because the power stage is fully isolated, the drive can connect directly to line power, and its single-axis focus dedicates all resources to one motor. There is no integrated fieldbus; parameter entry is performed through the analog trims or the incremental command connector.
Position information comes from a resolver excited at 6510.42 Hz; the converter interpolates this signal to a 24-bit internal resolution, which supports an absolute accuracy of ±5.3 arc min when the mechanics are properly aligned. The feedback cable may be routed up to 50 m without exceeding the specified dropout margin, giving flexibility for large machines. For auxiliary logic, the drive supplies +5 VDC at 200 mA maximum, so small sensors or encoder splitters can be powered locally.
