The SC753B-001-01 is a low-maintenance servo drive unit produced by Pacific Scientific to advance automation processes by ensuring the position, speed, and operation of brushless servo motor units can be controlled to meet industrial requirements. This drive is a compact and energy-efficient device that features a metallic housing design and requires protection from liquid or solid interference less than 12 millimeters in diameter. There are several input and output units integrated into this product for the connection of external accessories. The output interfaces are designed to be resistant to short circuiting, and the inputs are also MOV protected. For best performance, only brushless resolver motors from Pacific scientific should be connected to this product; its installation should also be inside a control cabinet able to provide protection according to IP54.
The SC753B-001-01 display unit uses a high-performance 16-bit microtechnology to perform the arithmetic operations required to run motion control programs. The leakage current in the servo system featuring this product can be as high as 3.5 milliamperes. This makes it necessary for the unit to be properly grounded before it is turned on for operation. It is possible to connect external devices like display panels, programmable-logic-controllers and host computers to this display unit through its serial communication interface. This product features a total of four dedicated control inputs, which provide controller enable, inhibit, and fault reset functions. About 16 general-purpose optically isolated inputs are also available to support logic-type interfaces.
