Product Description:

The SC720 series control drive SC726A-001 is designed by Pacific Scientific to provide 60 A of continuous and 120 A of peak current output. It requires 240 VAC 3-phase input and 90 to 264 VAC 1-phase for control logic operations. The drive’s bus voltage reaches up to 320 VDC during operation and it comes with built-in shunt regulator of 40 kW peak and 500 W continuous capacity.

The SC726A-001 drive features a resolver feedback system with encoder emulation output and its standard output resolutions are selectable from 500 to 1024 PPR. Its encoder resolution is 12 bits with ±12 arcmin of accuracy and its supports ±10V analog command along with quadrature/step-direction inputs. This drive is presented with a 20 kHz PWM IGBT output stage that ensures high-frequency and smooth motor response. Its current loop bandwidth ranges from 750 Hz to 3000 Hz and the velocity input drift is rated at 50 mV/°C under standard conditions. Test points are accessible from the front panel for velocity and current checks. It provides dedicated terminals for resolver, PTC and user enable inputs. Its encoder outputs include CHA, CHB, CHZ and separate PROBE as well as HOME inputs. The SC726A drive’s control inputs include enable, reset, inhibit plus and inhibit minus. Its status diagnostics are displayed via a 7-segment code indicator and it provides over-temperature, short circuit and IT fault protection. The unit offers inrush limiting current feature for input lines.

The SC726A-001 drive is compatible with analog, digital or SERCOS modules and its analog module includes DIP switches and potentiometers for setup. Its digital module uses serial communication and DPM dialogue software. The SERCOS module connects through fiber optics and supports multi-axis control. This SC726A drive offers panel-based mounting and it measures 23.88 x 10.63 inches.
