Product Description:

The SC723A001 Servo Controller is part of SC720 Series that is engineered for harsh industrial environments. It supports torque or velocity control and operates efficiently with brushless servo motors.

The SC723A001 servo controller delivers precise motion control using resolver based feedback. The controller is suitable for integration with various servo systems due to its compact form, robust design and high compatibility with R20 through R80 motor series. The model provides an efficiency of over 95 % at 50 % output voltage and rated continuous current. It supports a current loop bandwidth range from 750 Hz to 3000 Hz. The velocity offset is adjustable to zero with a low drift rate of 50 µV/°C. The controller accepts a ± 10 V velocity input command and operates with an output ripple frequency of 20 kHz (± 15 %). The form factor is less than 1.01 that ensures low distortion. The feedback of the model is achieved through a brushless resolver which is mounted on the motor shaft. This resolver supplies all necessary position and velocity feedback data for motor commutation and control. The resolver feedback system is capable of generating signals that emulate an incremental encoder. The output from these signals can be used with PLC servo modules or external controllers. The system features differential line drivers and supports resolutions up to 1024 PPR.

The SC723A001 servo controller supports both rare earth and ferrite magnet servo motors. When paired with Pacific Scientific motors, it can manage a wide torque range. It supports continuous torque from 4.8 lb-in. to 451 lb-in., and peak torque capabilities up to 800 lb-in. The controller also incorporates essential protection and monitoring features required for industrial deployment.
