Designed for use in industrial automation cells, it handles brushless servo motor phase current and position commands while maintaining closed-loop operation through resolver feedback. By interpreting motion profiles from a host PLC, the unit outputs controlled sinusoidal current that translates into precise shaft movement, making it suitable for pick-and-place axes, labeling heads, or any station that demands repeatable positioning. Because the control loop remains closed at the drive, the axis can correct for load changes during indexing and short dwell periods.

Its power stage can deliver a continuous phase current of 7.5 A from either 115 VAC or 230 VAC supplies, giving a single rating for both mains levels. For short accelerations or inertial loads, the controller releases up to 15.0 A, and at 230 VAC this translates into a peak mechanical output of 4500 W. Internally, a carrier frequency of 15 kHz minimizes audible noise and smooths the motor torque curve. The motion processor resolves each revolution into 4096 steps per rev; combined with digital filtering, this granularity supports fine incremental moves and tight velocity control. The drive maintains smooth current delivery and accurate tracking during rapid moves.

Positioning repeatability is aided by an accuracy window of 15 arcmin and a programmable span that extends from 0 up to +100,000,000 steps, enabling long absolute traverses before the counter rolls over. Despite these wide numeric limits, the hardware remains manageable because it weighs only 5.0 kg, allowing panel mounting without heavy reinforcement. All components are specified to function between 0 to 50 °C, while storage down to -55 °C and up to 70 °C protects the controller during transit or inactive storage. Its modest mass also helps when the unit is mounted in crowded electrical enclosures with limited support space.
