It drives and positions permanent-magnet servomotors for automated machinery by combining power electronics with onboard motion logic. Through resolver feedback, it tracks rotor angle directly and converts step commands from supervisory control into synchronized motor currents that move pick-and-place arms, indexers, or light conveyors inside industrial cells.

Core control is provided by a programmable digital position controller that stores motion parameters locally. During continuous operation, the drive can source 7.5 A from either 115 VAC or 230 VAC lines, and it maintains torque smoothness with a carrier frequency of 15 kHz. Transient moves are supported by a 15.0 A peak current capability and a ceiling of 4500 W peak output power when powered from 230 VAC. Position loop granularity reaches 4096 steps per rev, a resolution that matches typical resolver pole counts and enables tight electronic gearing. All control functions remain stable across an ambient range of 0 °C to 50 °C, so cabinet airflow only needs standard convection cooling. The positioning loop closes to an accuracy of 15 arcmin, and the commanded register spans 0 to 100,000,000 steps, giving ample numerical headroom for extended linear axes or rotary tables. At just 5.0 kg, the unit adds minimal mass to control panels, and its electronics tolerate non-operating storage from −55 °C to 70 °C without degraded calibration. This storage range supports shutdown periods and transportation without affecting stored calibration.
