Product Description:
The SC125-457-T4 brushless servo controller is produced by Pacific Scientific and belongs to the SC100 Brushless Servo Controllers series. As a drive module, it accepts utility power and delivers precisely timed current to compatible brushless servomotors. Within automated assembly lines, it closes the velocity and position loops so that axes follow commanded profiles with minimal error, making it a key component in pick-and-place machinery, packaging stations, and coordinated multi-axis gantries. The unit integrates power electronics, signal conditioning, and microprocessor supervision in a single chassis that mounts inside control cabinets.
The controller accepts an incoming supply of 230 VAC with a tolerance of +10% to -15% and an input frequency range of 47–63 Hz, permitting operation with a broad range of power systems. The rectifier and filter stage converts this supply to a nominal DC-link voltage of 320 VDC, which serves as the energy reservoir for the pulse-width-modulated inverter. At a switching rate of 5 kHz, the inverter synthesizes sinusoidal phase currents while keeping acoustic noise moderate. The controller operates at an efficiency exceeding 95%, reducing cabinet thermal loads and cooling requirements. The broad supply range also supports operation in facilities where line voltage or electrical loading varies throughout the day.
The controller maintains its full output ratings between 0 °C and 50 °C. When it is not operating, it can be stored between -55 °C and 70 °C without damage to its power semiconductors or control logic. Closed-loop feedback is processed by the integrated Tachsyn Processor, allowing a direct connection to resolver-type tachometers that produce a gradient of 4.0 V/krpm. This feedback path helps the controller maintain synchronization during rapid acceleration and other dynamic motion. The permitted storage range also allows the controller to remain unused for extended periods in warehouses that experience substantial temperature changes.
