Product Description:
The SC125-010-T4 brushless servo controller is produced by Pacific Scientific within the SC100 Brushless Servo Controllers series. It is a standalone drive that supplies regulated current to a brushless servomotor, interprets speed feedback, and issues torque commands that keep motion profiles accurate in automated machinery. By converting an AC input into a controlled DC bus and modulating that energy through insulated-gate transistors, the controller forms the electrical interface between a motion controller and the mechanical load.
The power front end accepts an input of 230 VAC (+10%, -15%) from general-purpose factory mains and operates correctly across line frequencies from 47–63 Hz, allowing it to accommodate both common utility frequency standards without adjustment. That supply is rectified onto an internal link that stabilizes at a nominal 320 VDC, giving the inverter ample headroom for rapid current transients. Pulse-width modulation is executed at 5 kHz, a switching rate that balances acoustic noise with semiconductor losses while keeping current ripple low enough for precise torque control. Overall operating efficiency is greater than 95%, which minimizes panel heat and reduces the burden on enclosure cooling equipment.
Speed feedback is handled by a Tachsyn Processor, allowing the drive to decode resolver-style signals and derive velocity with a gradient of 4.0 V/Krpm. This arrangement provides the command loop with a linear velocity scale from low speed through base speed, supporting consistent speed regulation throughout the operating range. All control electronics maintain full ratings at temperatures from 0 °C to 50 °C, enabling installation in standard sealed cabinets without derating. When powered down for storage, the unit can withstand temperatures from -55 °C to 70 °C without affecting its calibration or subsequent operation.
