The SC105-001-T1 is a brushless servo controller manufactured by Pacific Scientific as part of the SC100 Brushless Servo Controllers series. It regulates torque and speed for brushless servomotors in automated lines by converting three-phase AC mains into a controlled DC bus and by processing velocity feedback through its dedicated Tachsyn interface. This standard controller is intended for cabinet installation where precise motor control and stable operation are required. The controller is suited to conveyor axes, indexing systems, and similar machines that rely on controlled acceleration and deceleration.
The power section uses a three-phase 230 VAC mains supply with a tolerance of +10 percent and -15 percent and rectifies it to a nominal bus of 320 VDC. The accepted line frequency is indicated by the 47-63 Hz rating, which supports use on common industrial power systems. Continuous stall duty is supported with 40 A of output current, yielding 9 kW of mechanical power, while 60 W is diverted through the internal shunt regulator to protect the bus during overhauling loads. Conversion efficiency is rated at more than 95%, so only a small fraction of incoming energy is lost as heat. Thermal stability is supported by a switching stage that commutates at 5 kHz, which helps keep ripple currents low while limiting acoustic noise. Full performance is maintained from 0 °C to 50 °C, and safe storage is permitted from -55 °C to 70 °C. Under continuous load, the drive's electronics dissipate 205 W, a value used to size enclosure cooling. The cooling arrangement should allow heat to leave the enclosure without creating hot spots near neighboring power components.
