Product Description:
The DA24A-800A is a DC-to-AC generator produced by Pacific Scientific for the Redi-Line Electric Generators series. Designed for mobile and stationary automation systems that rely on a 24 V battery or bus, it converts the low-voltage supply to a regulated 120 V, 60 Hz single-phase output. This output can power sensors, controls, programmable logic controllers, and service tools that require utility-style power without access to separate mains lines. Within a control cabinet, the unit supplies sine-wave AC power for field maintenance or emergency backup when grid power is unavailable.
Continuous operation requires a 24 VDC source, while the nominal design point of 25.2 VDC represents the fully charged state of a two-battery system. At that input voltage, the generator can deliver a continuous electrical load of 800 W and a continuous output current of 7.3 A on the 120 V side. The electronics produce a fixed output frequency of 60 Hz, matching North American utility timing so induction motors and timing circuits remain synchronized. The continuous rating allows the unit to power small pump drives, lighting circuits, or diagnostic laptops for extended periods without overheating or excessive voltage sag. Its sine-wave output helps reduce harmonic distortion that could interfere with sensitive instrumentation.
Temporary load spikes are supported by a surge capacity of 1200 W and a maximum surge current of 11 A, allowing compressors or contactors to handle inrush current without tripping the source. Even during these peaks, the terminal voltage remains regulated at 120 VAC to protect connected devices. The enclosure measures 5.18 inches in diameter, 5.5 inches in height, and 16.25 inches in length, allowing installation on skid frames or vehicle bulkheads with a compact footprint. Its total mass is 26 lb, which simplifies handling and mounting. Ventilation slots along the housing dissipate internal heat and help the generator return from a temporary surge to its continuous operating level.
